Tomatoes, zucchini, crooknecks, cukes, basil, parsley. All these from l'orto. Making many meals and giving lots away. No one has refused zucchini yet.

Happy summer to all.

More cukes today. Lemons from a neighbor, Santa Rosa plums from a new friend. My kitchen is getting loaded with baskets and boxes.

I did freeze some corn on the cob (from the mkt.).

I want to zest and juice the lemons. Do you know how to make candied citrus rinds? I love them chocolate dipped.

Hope you are staying cool. Lots of gelati?

LOTS of gelato!!!! I guess, it is gelati=you must be right about that. No idea on how to candy rinds, but I do love them. I am sure NYTimes has a method!!

Even Jaques Pepin has a recipe. Soaking and sugaring for eons. Too much for me.

Today its plums by way of clafoutis. Maybe juice soon. Plum sorbet?

No candied plums though. I have made sugar plums in the past. It's an old treat, but not up to today's standards. Again, that sugar soak sugar thing.

Maybe I'm not idle enough to candy rinds. Today, my idleness is occupied by a plum clafoutis. I have several pounds of Santa Rosa type plums. I'd like to make some juice also.

Plum sorbet?
